The Group’s main production facilities are uniquely located both close to its customers and to the major transport arteries. All three of the Group’s quarries are situated in the Zhytomyr region of Ukraine, between 100 and 200 km from Kyiv, which is one of the largest aggregate markets in the country. Such proximity allows the Group to supply aggregates to Kyiv both by rail and road.
Additionally, the Group’s quarries are located less than 500 km from the Russian border and approx. 900 km from Moscow, allowing the Group to deliver aggregates at competitive prices to the Central Federal District in Russia, including Moscow. Ukrainian quarries are a natural source of aggregates for Russia, which has always been one of the two principal markets of the Group. Location of our deposits and the ability to deliver our products to Moscow within 3-5 days, strengthen the Group’s position on the Russian market.
All three of the Group’s quarries have an advantageous location in terms of transport routes, which allows for effective delivery of our products both by rail and road. The Group owns a fleet of approx. 250 rail wagons, and has its own railway sidings which are directly connected to the Korosten railway line; one of the main rail routes in Ukraine. The Group’s quarries are also located close to the main Kyiv-Warsaw highway. Unigran Group also owns a fleet of approx. 40 trucks to coordinate deliveries on the local market within a radius of 150 km.
By offering integrated solutions Unigran Group has developed a wide base of customers in different locations and for different products – from blasting and drilling services for other quarry operators, to production, distribution, and laying of pavement tiles for households.
In particular, the Group is cooperating with various well-known domestic and foreign companies both in the construction and concrete production sectors such as: Kyivmiskbud, Kyivoblavtodor, “Stolychny” Asphalt and Concrete Factory, “Darnytsky” Precast Concrete Factory, No. 4, “Kovalska” Precast Concrete Factory , Mosinzhbeton, PSK Stroynerud, Krasnopresnensky DSK-1, TPK Stroyresurs, No. 2 “Smolensky” Precast Concrete Factory, PSK Obrey, Stroiservice, Orel CSC, Belenergo Systems, Do?u? Insaat ve Ticaret A.S., VINCI Construction Grand Projects, Bouygues Travaux Publics, and many others. The Group has a solid track record of projects for which it has served as a supplier of granite aggregates, such as: construction of the highway between Boryspil International Airport and Kyiv, other highways such as Kyiv-Zhytomyr, Kyiv-Odesa, Kyiv-Kharkiv and Kyiv-Kovel, the new Terminal “D” at Boryspil International Airport, the new Lviv football stadium, and the reconstruction of the sarcophagus at the Chornobyl nuclear power plant.
High-quality drilling and blasting services are provided to over 20 quarries in 10 regions of Ukraine including Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Vinnytsa, Kirovograd, Khmelnytsky, Rivne, Dnipropetrivsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhya, and Chernivtsi.
State of the art pavement tiles and other modern stone building materials are available for developers and households from our offices in Kyiv and Zhytomyr, through our online shop, and via a wide network of dealers and partners throughout the country.
Moreover, the high quality of our products and the favorable location of our quarries put the Group on a good footing to expand its export business into new markets. Already exporting aggregates into Russia and Belarus, Unigran is also eying Poland and the Baltic States as prospective new markets.
